Well nearly…it was about 3 days after engineer #3 that my speed finally went from 135kb to 2Mb 😀 yay i thought it was all over..but NO! next day 1 Mb then 2 days at 512kb and now today im back on 135kb again… 🙁 Bring on engineer #4…

Some chap from BT foned me today, he spoke English and assured me he was actually here..in this country :O Well, after i got over the shock he told me he would fone me again in the morning to update the stutus of my fault, and was ringing to find out if the engineer from monday had fixed it. He insisted that i wouldnt have to fone India again, the fault is beyond that..its now in the hands of BT wholesale, who actually deal with the broadband!? I told the bloke i was going to fone India yesterday, but basically i couldnt be arsed as its just a waste of 3 hours of my life! He agreed.
So he’s going to fone me in the morning, and theres probably going to be a third engineer on his way.

Apparently there IS a fault with my line..his equipment showed that. He has made some adjustments further down the road…but its the wiring between our house and the POLE…why cant they see this??? so tomorrow ive got to fone them again and start the whole thing once more!! This is going to be the last time…if they dont fix it this time im gonna tell them to turn it off!

Got another engineer coming tomoz…he’ll probably do exactly the same as the last one…my profile is still 135…hope it is in the morning too when hes here…

I’m currently working on a new project. Its a desktop OS that fits on a CD and as you boot up it puts everything into RAM so every app runs at lightspeed! Currently it has the KDE desktop with firefox..not sure what the final package list is yet, but i plan to make it an everyday user OS for browsing, email, watching flash video etc. Of course it already has a IM and email client… more to follow. I will upload an ISO tomoz for anyone who want to try…plus i need a name.
